Training

MouseManager
MouseManager was developed in collaboration with Dr. Andrew Weng's lab at the Terry Fox Laboratory of the BC Cancer Agency.
MouseManager is a good example of how custom database development can help organize the daily work for researchers. Dr. Andrew Weng needed to have more control and overview of the hundreds of mice that his lab is using at any given time. This information was previously entered in a host of multi-tab Excel files, which of course made it impossible to get any overview of the total state of things. MouseManager allows each lab member to attribute mice from the stock to himself and a specific experiment, and then take notes and attach files to each experiment and mouse, as they evolve. Filtering is used so that users can only see and above all, modify, data on their own mice.
MouseManager is also available for sale to other laboratories that do not yet have a system to properly track their laboratory animals. It can either be used as is, or be customized to your own needs.
